This workshop will include:
All needed workshop materials, including an extensive quantity of quality of hairs, wax linen threads, epoxy,  bamboo, and a variety of hardwoods, rope sections, the use of saws and cutting devices and other needed supplies.

You will have the opportunity to make 8 to 10 brushes that can be used many different ways, including applying slips and glazes to ceramics. There will be a slide lecture and demonstrations of construction methods involved in making brushes, including knot-tying, epoxy mixing, cutting and wrapping hairs and methods to create brush handles. Participants will work with a variety of hairs, including buck tail hair, moose hair, horse hair, rooster hackle, broom corn straw and additional types of hairs. You are also encouraged to bring beads, found objects, or any other material from home that could be used to embellish your brush.
